Popular Hiking Trail Gets Shuttle Service

IMG_2447.jpg

The Popular Echo Mountain trail located at the very northern end of Lake Avenue is going to get a bit busier with a new shuttle service that was announced today.

Funded by the City of Pasadena, LA County, and Edison, the new bus service will connect the trailhead with the Metro Gold Line Memorial Park Station.

The fixed bus route begins a six-month pilot program on April 7th and will run on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 5pm.

With the weekends being a very busy time for this trail, this could not only impact the serenity but the local landscape as well.

I love the idea of Downtown dwellers and metro riders being able to enjoy our local vistas but this could be overkill.

What do you think?
