Preparing Your Home For an SoCal Winter

See this social icon list in the original post

Well it’s early December and it is 80 degrees outside? While most will admit we have broken the planet, we still need to tackle the annual tasks of doing the seasonal work that a home needs to be kept up.

Your home is most likely the greatest financial investment you have, and taking care of it should be front of mind. The fact is, there are some very simple tasks to keep in mind each season in order to prevent major repairs from being needed down the road.

Checklist

Home improvement shows dominate my TiVo and one of the regular favorites is Today's Homeowner and their simple approach to home maintenance and basic improvements. Knowing that there is an extremely long list of maintenance that a homeowner must do every year, they have broken the long list into four shorter and more manageable lists based on the annual seasons.

The fall list includes clearing rain gutters, caulking cracks, and simple HVAC prep for winter usage.

The infographic explains the why and the checklist breaks down priorities and checklist. My apologies if your spouse pins this to the fridge.  Just click the images to view and/or download.
